North Korea has announced that it has successfully launched ballistic missiles from a train for the first time and will continue to strengthen its defenses.

Pyongyang said the missiles were launched during the "railway missile regiment" exercise. It was stated that the weapon system was transported along railroad tracks in the country's mountainous region and crashed into the sea 500 miles away.

Missile tests inflamed tensions between North Korea and South Korea. North Korea fired two new missiles yesterday from the east coast of the country. Later, South Korea announced that it had carried out a ballistic missile launch test from a submarine.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said that the submarine-launched ballistic missile will act as a deterrent against North Korean provocations and that Seoul will continue to increase its missile arsenal.

Kim Yo-Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, criticized Moon's description of the North Korean missile tests as a 'provocation' and stated that if he continued these 'slanders', bilateral relations would be 'totally destroyed'.

On the other hand, Japanese Prime Minister, Suga Yoshihide, said that North Korea's missile tests are "in no way forgivable" and threaten the peace and security of his country.
