Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said North Korea's missile tests were "simply outrageous" and threatened his country's peace and security.

Prime Minister Suga, at a press conference, stated that he strongly condemned North Korea's missile tests over the weekend and yesterday.
Noting that he found the trials "in no way inexcusable", Suga stated that they violated the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
"North Korea's missile tests threaten the peace and security of Japan and the region," Suga said.
Stating that he will convene the National Security Council (NSC), Suga noted that he gave instructions to the relevant state institutions for the safety of maritime and air traffic.
